Elena Bansh is an Italian-Russian visual artist whose experiences living in Milan, London and Seoul help to influence her unique art style – which helps to explore the sensations of inaccessibility and isolation. With a penchant for depicting anthropomorphised animals, (specifically the underwater ones that live in the deep blue sea) Elena’s drawings give off a dreamy and otherworldly feel, giving way to some lovely depictions of magic realism.
From train passengers adorned with moray eel heads and a frog street vendor selling their wares, it’s easy to be enchanted with Elena’s quirky style (even though seeing them in real life might be just a tad shocking).
