siân-amy pettit makes jaw-dropping cake art

By

Gone are the days of smearing buttercream over a cake and calling it a day. Decorating a humble gateau is basically an art form these days, at least if creations like these from Siân-Amy Pettit are anything to go by. The self-taught baker residing (an English lass now living in Columbus, Ohio) started out by trying to replicate the viral shag-carpet piping technique. After realising it wasn't really her thing, she moved onto her now-signature piping pattern that makes cakes look as if they're studded with hundreds of tiny beads. Everything is edible, of course, though whether or not you dare to slice into one of these beauties is another question all together.
