sea life sculptures by niefe ceramics

Here’s one for the kids who enjoyed pretending to be mermaids while paddling around the pool: Stefanie Ferguson, the talented lass behind Niefe Ceramics, makes sculptures and vessels in the shape of coral. The spongy type, the spiky type – think of any kind of coral and Stefanie has probably recreated it.

She crafts the pieces in Sydney using nifty Japanese techniques like nerikomi, kurinuki and wabi sabi. So, if turning your abode into an underwater wonderland sounds appealing (or if you’d just like to admire some sea-themed art), then mosey over to Stefanie’s Instagram, or her Finders Keepers shop.
