Do you dream of arranging text, colours and shapes into eye-pleasing compositions? Want to learn from rad people who spend their days doing exactly this? If you answered yes to both, we recommend checking out Shillington’s graphic design scholarships. The college is currently offering two types: the Dive into Design half scholarship, which is open to everyone and covers 50 per cent of your course fees for study in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and online (huzzah!); and Diversity in Design, a full scholarship that also pairs you with an industry mentor.
Diversity in Design was created to encourage a more inclusive design industry. As such, it’s open to applicants from underrepresented groups – people who have historically struggled to get into the industry due to their race, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, social and economic class or physical ability. Anyone who snags one of these scholarships also gets a super-valuable post-grad mentorship from a design agency such as Frost*collective in Sydney.
