It’s hard to believe that these delish-looking sculptures are made from trash found on the sidewalk.
One person’s trash is another’s treasure – and for French street artist Lor-K, a discarded mattress is an artistic opportunity. If you happen to be strolling along the streets of Paris and stumble across an oversized ice-cream or slice of cake, it’s likely the work of Lor-K. When the artist spots a piece of rubbish on the sidewalk, she lugs it back to her studio, transforms it into something much more appetising, and then returns it to where she found it in the hope that we pay a little bit more attention to what we discard.
