It’s hard to believe that standing in a dark room full of strangers swaying and nodding their head is OK again. Nevertheless, here we are, staring at a bunch of tour announcements from fine Aussie musos, the likes of which include Perth heavyweights Methyl Ethel. If you’re a fan of the band’s dancey, synth sounds, you’ll be glad to hear of their upcoming gigs across Perth, Melbourne and Sydney. Kicking things off with two hometown shows alongside POND, the band will hit the road in July, showcasing brand-spanking new material they began brewing during the pandemic. As a little taster, they’ve just released “Neon Cheap”, a pulsating, toe-tapping jam that’s probably going to linger in your head for the next week.
