tunesday - julia and the deep sea sirens
Julia and the Deep Sea Sirens are a seven-piece band who've proven that there's more goodness to come out of our nation's capital than fireworks and girly mags.
Julia and the Deep Sea Sirens are a seven-piece band who've proven that there's more goodness to come out of our nation's capital than fireworks and girly mags. Fronted by Julia Johnson, a lovely lass with strawberry blonde locks and mesmerising vocals, the mob make alt-folk tunes that happen to be soundtracking our morning quite nicely.
They've recently released the clip to "Adeleine" from second album Family Pets, and we're loving the lashings of confetti, streamers and bunting, not to mention the deliciously messy cake fight that we've always dreamed of. With hints of guitar, banjo, keys, drums, cello and autoharp in the mix, the multitalented bunch have got us jigging and swaying all around our desks. Take a listen to more of their music here.
