the picnic markets
Allow us to introduce you to the Picnic Markets – a new event that follows the idea: if it's on a blanket, it's up for grabs.
Not only are we always up for a spot of picnicking, but it's a rare moment that we find ourselves trundling past a market without at least doing a quick lap to see what's on offer. If you're a Sydney dweller who can identify with our park-loving, bargain-hunting frame of mind, may we suggest you pop along to the most wonderful hybrid, the Picnic Markets – a new event that follows the idea: if it's on a blanket, it's up for grabs.
The al fresco affair sets up every third Sunday in the new Alfred Park in Surry Hills (which means the next one is on Sunday 15th February – jot that down). You don't even have to miss out on your Sunday sleep in, either, since it kicks off at the very reasonable hour of 11am. Plenty of time to top up on some caffeine first!
Are you a maker of art, craft, jewellery, clothes or other knickknacks? Or do you have a stash of pre-loved goodies you want to sell? Hiring a space and laying down a blanket of your own will only set you back a few pretty pennies. Pop over here to get the full details.
