When it comes to having our favourite stationery sculpted convincingly out of wood, we reckon Camille Bernard is onto something great.

You might say it's kind of pointless to reproduce something useful in a completely impractical way, but when it comes to having our favourite stationery sculpted convincingly out of wood, we reckon Camille Bernard is onto something great. Called the Pencil Case Collection, the London artist crafts timber versions of highlighters, rubbers and even the nifty protractor, with the aim of making everyday objects seem just a little bit more spesh. (A word of warning: attempts to vigorously erase your work could result in a nasty splinter.)

She has a fab website where you can see the rest of her projects here, and if you've got something special you'd like whittled out of wood she even takes requests.
