A little while back we introduced you to a sketch-happy local lady named Carla McCrae – aka the Paper Beast – and oohed and aahed over her skills with paper and a pen. From daily doodles to illustrated zines and cute-as-a-button prints, Carla's work still manages to make us all goopy with happiness – not least her one-off portraits of couples, pets and a gaggle of her closest friends.
The clever lass creates her drawings based on photos supplied from customers, then adds a few extra-special touches that sum up just what each person is all about. (Pizza? Coffee? Even a Pokemon ball is A-OK.)
