Not only is it one of the most famous road trips in history, but Jack Kerouac's On The Road has inspired a legion of writers for decades to come to get out of the city, hire a car and drive drive drive.

Many film adaptions have gone into pre-production in the past, but it has taken nearly half a century for one to successfully make it out the other end. It stars relative unknowns like Sam Riley and Garrett Hedlund as Sal and Dean (the thinly veiled characters of Jack Keuroac and fellow Beat Generation writer Neal Cassady), leading ladies such as Kirsten Stewart, Kirsten Dunst, Amy Adams and Mad Men's Elisabeth Moss, and even Steve Buscemi and Viggo Mortensen make appearances.
On The Road is rolling into cinemas next week on September 27th, but if you're keen for a stash of freebies, let us know your favourite line from On The Road by emailing us here with your name and address. We have ten prize packs to give away, which include a double pass to the film, a copy of the soundtrack (full of the music of the time, like Billie Holiday and Dinah Washington), and a pretty-as coffee table book. Not a bad haul, eh? Dean Moriarty would've loved to get his hands on that.
