learn the art of brush lettering
A calligraphy class for folks who want to pen ace birthday cards (and create a cool letterform poster or two).
Remember that kid in class who had the best handwriting, who everyone would come to with their poster design requests? Maybe you were that kid. Maybe you’ve always wanted to be that kid. Either way, if seeing artfully inked words gives you great joy, perhaps you’d like to take up a brush lettering class.
Our pals at Work-Shop Melbourne are hosting one this very month, in fact, and it’s open to people of all abilities. With lots of hands-on practice, calligraphy artist Joanna Chia will guide you through the basic shapes and as well as how to create cool compositions, which you can then apply to birthday cards, posters, and more.
