There’s a delicate art to painting on feathers, and we reckon this lass has pretty much mastered it.

There’s a fine art to painting on feathers, and we reckon this lass has pretty much mastered it. Krystle Missildine, a self-taught artist based in Alabama, paints animals on feathers that have naturally molted, many of which have been donated to her by parrot owners or were shed by one of her own five pet birds. Working with acrylic paints and tiny paint brushes, Krystle has to ensure that each of her brush strokes is “gentle and precise” – such is the nature of working with such a small and delicate canvas.
