As far as winged insects go, moths tend to be overlooked for their flashier, attention-seeking cousins, the butterflies. That is, until Kiara Spencer-Smith came along. On a spin around Sydney’s Australian Museum, she was struck by the dazzling array of moths Down Under – a few weeks later, a range of wooden brooches was born in their honour.
