forest circles
No aliens involved, just the curious work of science.
We promise we’re not peddling some kooky alien conspiracy theory here. These strange-looking tree circles do indeed exist, and they’re located in the woodlands outside Nichinan City in Japan. They’re the result of a fifty-year experiment where scientists planted cedar trees at varying radial distances to measure the effect on their growth. We're not entirely sure about the scientific results from the trial, but we do appreciate the inadvertently spooky effect that can be seen from above.
