Cara Nahaul’s imagination is a rather pretty place, if her award-winning paintings are anything to go by. Some of her pieces are inspired by family photos (which she imagines entering, as though they were three-dimensional spaces); others are inspired by her dreams and memories. Her works tend to start out as line drawings in her notebook, which mutate and evolve, then finally transform into full-blown scenes once she starts slapping paint on the canvas.
