This artist accidentally smashed a pretty plate. Then she tuned it into even prettier art.
This is a lovely visual representation of looking on the bright side of life. France-based artist Stephanie Kilgast accidentally broke one of her mother’s dinner plates, but instead of throwing it away and loudly sobbing like most of us would do, she chose to bring it back to life. It’s now a stunning piece of art, highlighted with intricate floral sculptures and colourful birds. We can all learn something from Stephanie (but also be careful with your Mum’s crockery).
