valentin cheli and joppe muller’s flowers + buildings

By Shannon Jenkins

Blooms and concrete go together better than you’d think.

Flowers + Buildings. The concept may be simple, but Valentin Cheli and Joppe Muller’s aptly named photo series is far from boring. The Berlin-based photographers held pretty blooms in front of their lens while shooting structures made of concrete, bricks and metal – the kind you'd find in any old city – and we’re mighty impressed by the effect. (It's making us wonder if we should start carrying bouquets in front of our eyes to brighten up even the dullest of views.)

After gazing at more of the snaps below, have a squiz at Valentin’s website and Instagram (we recommend checking out his latest photo series, Fruit on Cars. And yes – it’s exactly as it sounds).
