tunesday - epithets

Epithets sound a lot like the early days of Death Cab For Cutie - unabashed, honest, vibrant guitars and a slightly classical element. Except with Aussie accents. And maybe more glockenspiel.

We originally found out about Brisbane band Epithets when Mel Stringer, one of our frankie illustrators, emailed us some t-shirt designs she did for them. Figuring that if Mel is awesome, then this quintet would be awesome, we gave them a listen. And we were not disappointed. Epithets sound a lot like the early days of Death Cab For Cutie - unabashed, honest, vibrant guitars and a slightly classical element. Except with Aussie accents. And maybe more glockenspiel. You can listen to their debut album here and find out more about them here. They have a new EP and tour coming out in July as well. Happy Tunesday!
