the woodland library

By Emma Do

A real-life fairytale for bookworms.

If you’ve ever wished you could enter a magical children’s story and live among friendly woodland creatures and sparkling fairies, today’s your lucky day. The most adorable free library has been built within the stump of a 110-year-old tree, complete with a with a wee glass door and tiny shingled roof. This glorious creation was brought to life by Idaho local Sharalee Armitage Howard who noticed the tree was rotting. Instead of shrugging her shoulders, she decided to give it a breath of new life. If you're in the area, we encourage – no, insist – that you pop on down and check it out.
