the bluebell carpet of belgium

By Emma Do
24 April 2019

This magical forest blooms each spring.

Hoo boy, nature sure is amazing, isn’t it? Right now, we’re slightly breathless at the sight of this magical forest in Belgium. Located in the region of Halle, the Hallerbos (Dutch for Halle forest) is spread over 1360 acres, and draws many a visitor for its carpet of bluebell flowers, which bloom every April. If you’re travelling around Europe at the moment, we suggest you make haste to see the fairy tale woodland in the flesh. Just remember to stick to the path – sightseeing is much less fun when wayward tourists trample over the natural beauty.
