terry border's living books

When Terry Border says he's going to bring some old books to life, he doesn't mean restoring the cover or adapting the story for the stage.

When Terry Border says he's going to bring some old books to life, he doesn't mean restoring the cover or adapting the story for the stage – he's more interested in whacking some wiry arms and legs on the lively paperbacks, and transforming them into witty literary figures. From a camera-toting 1984 to a crib-bound Rosemary's Baby and Flash Gordon wielding an intergalactic gun, each book sculpture does a mighty fine job of representing the story within its pages, as well as filling us with a whole bunch of book nerdish glee.

You can see more of his Dr Frankenstein-style work here.
