A little interview with UK illustrator, Rosie Gainsborough.

Name: Rosie Gainsborough. Lives: West Midlands, UK. What you do: Freelance illustrator and animator. Describe your art: I aim to make work that is sensitive, interesting and beautiful. One day I hope to be able to achieve this! My work often has a documentary aspect and plays with atmosphere and emotion, simplicity and detail. What inspires you: I am often inspired by the everyday world. I am really interested in things that people might perceive as boring, or things that go unnoticed but that can also be beautiful. Everything inspires me really. Conversation. A lot of my work has been about swimming pools recently. Films and music. I really like slow paced films that are more about atmosphere and relationships than action driven plots, similar to my images which are often quite quiet and still. What are you working on right now: Currently I'm working on commissions for The World of Interiors magazine, and Boneshaker magazine. Where can we see more of your lovely work: www.rosiegainsborough.com
