retracing reggae record sleeves

These artful photos reunite classic reggae record covers with their original London backgrounds – and funnily enough, very little about the environments has changed. As you’ll see if you have a little scroll down, each of the records (which date from 1967 to 1987) slip seamlessly into their current day contexts. Oh, and here’s a bit of good news: thanks to some crowd-funding, the fellow behind the project, shutterbug Alex Bartsch, has attained the necessary dollars to turn the series into a book, so you’ll soon be able to drool over all his snaps in print. For now, though, you’ll have to make do with drooling over your screen.
