lighting, layers and reflections
Those who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones, but those who put coloured glass houses in the middle of California should get a hearty pat on the back.
Nothing beats the majesty of a sunset, but these lighting installations in California come pretty damn close. Created by photographer Autumn de Wilde (who wins today’s prize for most awesome-sounding name), the house-like structures are made from mirror and coloured plexiglass – and the effect they create is delightfully surreal. Autumn, who designed the houses for a photo shoot, says that she hoped the light would “interact and transform with the landscape as the sun rose, passed over us and set”.
