itty bitty bunnies embroidery

Take a peek at these sweet floral bouquets hand-stitched onto vintage handkerchiefs.

Legend has it that King Richard II of England, who reigned from 1377 to 1399, invented the cloth handkerchief (his courtiers report him having used square pieces of cloth to wipe his nose). These days, the sneeze-catching textile isn’t hugely popular – but some vintage ones are getting a new life, thanks to the handiwork of Sarah Buckley. The Colorado-based crafter stitches sweet floral bouquets onto old-school nose-wipers, which make for a lovely bit of art hung on your wall or perched on a shelf. Head over to Sarah’s online store, Itty Bitty Bunnies, to inspect her full range (which also includes embroidery on good old fashioned linen).
