A headscarf is a fun way to add some colour to your get-up or show off that fab vintage fabric you love so much, but finding the right way to wear it isn't always so simple.

A headscarf is a fun way to add some colour to your get-up or show off that fab vintage fabric you love so much, but finding the right way to wear it isn't always so simple. That's why we tried and tested three esay-peasy styles - on a variety of hair types and lengths - so you can have a go for yourself at home. It's all about trial and error - experiment with each of these methods to find a style that suits you and your hair. And a little heads-up for the ladies amongst us with not-so-natural locks - it's a great way to cover up your roots, too!

MATERIALS:

a fab vintage headscarf - that's it! the sheer soft ones are the best to use

ROLL UP, ROLL UP

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Pop hair in a top-notch ponytail.

2. Roll scarf into a long, thin sausage.

3. Place centre of scarf under the end of your ponytails and roll the ponytail over it towards the ponytail base.

4. Cross excess scarf back and forth behind and in front of the bun you have created.

5. Tie a cute bow in front of the bun to secure.

SUPER CUTE SIDE BOW

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Tie your hair into a bun, updo or ponytail at the crown, leaving a big chunk of hair loose at the front.

2. Take your scarf (rolled into a sausage, just like last time) and roll it onto the end of the front section.

3. Roll the scarf into your hair and up towards your forehead.

4. Wrap the scarf around the back of the head, crossing over at the nape and bringing it back around the to the temple.

5. Tie the scarf into a cute bow at the side of the head.

TURBAN

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Tie your hair into a top knot at the centre of the forehead.

2. Fold your scarf into a triangle. Tie the scarf around your head, knotting at the front at the ponytail base.

3. Make sure you leave the triangle point hanging down your back.

4. Fold your ponytail in half, like so.

5. Then tie a knot on top to secure it.

6. Take the triangle point and lift it up and over your head.

7. Lay the point over the knot, and tie the side bits of scarf into a final knot or bow over the top.
