fumi koike's simple paintings

To put it simply: we think Fumi Koike rocks.

Have you heard of the K.I.S.S Principle? It stands for Keep It Simple, Stupid, and it's always been our motto when it comes to writing, but turns out it works rather well in an artier field, too. Fumi Koike is an excellent case in point: the Japanese lass' paintings are utterly unfussy, with plain backgrounds and minimal brushstrokes, but they're filling us with as much art-induced joy as any super detailed piece.

To put it simply: we think she rocks. If pics of soul-warming foods, cosy rooms and ski bunny dogs also take your fancy, have a peep at her Flickr page or website for more.
