Hey Melbourne people, care for a last-minute holiday shopping experience that won't make you want to stab someone? Ditch the mall and pop to the Fitzroy Market instead.

There are loads of vintage and handmade goodies to be had from friendly stall owners, plus vinyl, CDs, books, cakes, frocks and knick knacks, and bonus Christmassy hampers and decorations too.

Straight from the North Pole Feminist Association, a special Lady Santa will also be making a cross-dressing appearance to hand out lollies, make balloon animals and inappropriately grope good-looking fellas. If that doesn't say Christmas, we don't know what does.

Head to the Fitzroy Primary School, corner Napier and Chapel streets, Fitzroy, from 10am to 3pm this Saturday the 15th if you want in on the yuletide action. For more info head here.
