emma mattson's moss embroidery

Moss: more understated than a patch of flowers, but just as striking and even more lovely to roll around in.

A garden of flowers is great and all, but what about moss? We sometimes forget our green furry friend can be all sorts of beautiful too – more understated than a patch of geraniums and sunflowers, but just as striking and even more lovely to roll around in.

Arty lass Emma Mattson is clearly a fan, if her striking moss embroideries are anything to go by. Each piece incorporates a mix of yarns in different textures and shades, and looks so lifelike that we half expect some sort of creepy-crawly to come out of it. To see more of her needle-and-thread mastery, pop over to Emma’s website.
