discover a side of the city you’ve never known before with she shapes history

By Juliette Salom

Her stories.

After growing frustrated by the lack of recognition of the contributions by women, LGBTQIA+ people, people of colour, First Nations people and people with disabilities from throughout history, Sita – the founder of She Shapes History – realised that she ought to do something about it. And so, She Shapes History – walking tours that guide keen listeners throughout a city’s lesser-known histories – was born. If you find yourself travelling through Canberra/ Ngambri and Ngunnawal Country, Sydney/Warrane or Melbourne/Naarm anytime soon, keep your eyes peeled for one of these ripper tours to discover a hidden history of Australia and the often-forgotten people who built it. Pop on over to the She Shapes History website to find out more.
