We're rather partial to witnessing an evening of dance now and then (our parents doing the twist in their living room doesn't count), and if a spot of bopping also makes your heart pound, here's a doozy to add to your calendar.

Contemporary dance gurus Chunky Move have a brand new show all ready to go, and it's making its world debut this Friday night in Melbourne. Called AORTA, the piece brings all those biological goings-on we take for granted to the stage, with surges of blood, growth and decay, electricity and more explored through movement. It's more magical than gruesome though, we swear!

AORTA's the brainchild of choreographer and dancer Stephanie Lake, and it's running from November 22nd until November 30th at the Chunky Move Studios in Southbank. You can pick up a ticket or two from their website here, but you'd best be speedy because it's selling out quicksticks.
