Sometimes a cake comes into our lives that’s just so darn pretty we can’t bring ourselves to eat it.

Sometimes a cake comes into our lives that’s just so darn pretty we can’t bring ourselves to eat it. Only kidding, we can always eat cake, especially when there’s almost a whole rainbow of colours within it.

Inspired by the fruit-filled, spongy bakery cakes found in China, this light and fluffy treat from scrummy food blog Thirsty For Tea is like the edible equivalent of Joseph’s amazing technicolour dreamcoat, and the cool thing is that you can pick the hues to include – though we tend to go by the dictum ‘the brighter the better’.
