art for epilepsy

Art for Epilepsy is an online auction featuring over 150 local artists, and has opened for bidding today.

Here’s a curious tidbit: Saint Valentine, that Roman fellow we all associate with roses and courtly love, is also the patron saint of epilepsy. So it’s rather fitting, then, that Art for Epilepsy, an online auction raising funds for folks living with the condition, is open for bidding today.

Impressively, there are over 200 artworks up for sale, from Australian artists both established and new. Though each piece is unique, they all have one thing in common: they all feature a dash of purple, the internationally recognised colour for epilepsy. Cruise over to the Art for Epilepsy website to acquaint yourself with the collection, and put in a bid before the auction closes at 9pm on Sunday March 26th.

Pretty painting by Miranda Russell.
